XFLOQ Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Short version:

XFLOQ does not require an account, does not create a personal profile, does not store license-plate scan data, and does not operate a server that stores your drive history, camera encounters, saved places or Safety Recordings.

1. Information stored on your device

Depending on the features you use, XFLOQ may store recent destinations, saved places, local drive summaries or logs, camera encounter history, camera confirmations, settings, offline map/route data, a trusted-contact entry, diagnostics and Safety Recording indexes on your device. Safety Recordings are created locally and may be saved to your Photos library.

2. Location

XFLOQ uses location to provide navigation, live speed, route progress, road-awareness information and optional background alerts. Location-dependent information is processed on-device whenever possible. XFLOQ does not maintain an XFLOQ server-side location history.

3. Third-party network services

Some features require requests to external providers. Depending on the feature, a request may include a location, route endpoint, search term, map tile coordinate or similar information necessary to complete the request. Providers used by the current app may include Apple MapKit, Google Maps Platform, Mapbox, OpenStreetMap/Overpass/Nominatim, Photon, OSRM and a connectivity-check endpoint. Those providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Camera information

XFLOQ displays public/open roadside-camera location information when available. XFLOQ does not access license-plate scans, plate identities or private surveillance footage. Camera metadata can be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate.

5. Safety Recording

Camera and microphone access is requested only when needed for recording features. Recordings are not automatically uploaded by XFLOQ. If you explicitly export, share or save content using iOS system features, the destination you choose receives that content.

6. Trusted-contact messaging

A trusted-contact name and phone number may be stored locally. XFLOQ can prepare a message in the system Messages composer. You review and choose whether to send it. XFLOQ does not send the SMS automatically.

7. Advertising and tracking

XFLOQ does not sell personal data, does not use personal data for advertising, and does not use cross-app advertising tracking in the current release.

8. Retention and deletion

Local XFLOQ data remains on your device until you clear it, reset the app, delete the app, or use available category-specific deletion controls. Recordings saved to Photos are controlled through your Photos library. XFLOQ does not maintain an XFLOQ server copy of that local data.

9. OpenStreetMap attribution

Camera, road and POI data may include OpenStreetMap data. © OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Learn more.

10. Your choices

You can deny or revoke Location, Background Location, Notifications, Camera, Microphone or Photos permissions in iOS Settings. Some features will be unavailable or degraded when a required permission is disabled. XFLOQ also provides local-data deletion controls inside Privacy, Permissions & Legal.
